Ocala Zip Line - Family Campout - Fri., May 17- San. May 19

Located at Santos State Campground, scouts and their families will enjoy Mountain / BMX Biking. For those interested, we are also organizing an afternoon trip to Canyons Zip Line - (Cost approx. $70).

DETAILS: Scouts will travel in Class A uniforms.  Scouts will wear Class B uniforms in camp.
Leave: 6:30 P.M. Fri 5/17 from   behind back corner of Publix across from FCBC
Pick-up: 12:00 Noon Sunday behind Publix

COST: No Cost for camping.   This EXCLUDES cost of meals and outing to Canyon Zipline.

NOTE: If a Scout parent is not present for zip lining, please bring the minor form, signed by the parent/guardian along with a copy of the parent/guardian's driver's license or other photo i.d. that contains a signature. Otherwise, a Scout will not be allowed to ZipLine.

FCBC Car Show - Fri., April 12 & Sat., April 13

Please join us to help out our sponsoring organization, FCBC, and help with the Annual Car Show.

Scouts needed to assist with various items. We need strong Troop participation for the event!

Friday April 12th: Assist with Set up from 5pm-8ish- Pizza will be provided.

Saturday April 13th: Assist in the Kid's Zone 9-11, 11-1 & 1-3 (2 hour shifts). They will have bounce houses, slides, food, etc., in a separate area for kids. The Troop will also need a few scouts to be present in our booth during the day (also will be shifts). Finally, the church will need help with break down & clean up around 4 pm.

Service Hours will be earned for those who attend. Please email Mr. Bridges  with your availabilty.

Crooker River, GA Campout - Fri., April 19 - Sun., April 21

Join the Troop for our Crooked River –GA State Park campout. Cost is $8.00 /Scout. Theme – Pioneering & Fishing, so bring your pole & tackle box! Also, be prepared to get those last few rank requirements for the next Board of Review and rank up before summer camp (remember, that's how we board the bus, choose tents, etc...)!

"Located on southern tip of Georgia’s Colonial Coast, this park is the perfect spot for enjoying the intracoastal waterway and maritime forest.  Campsites are surrounded by palmettos and Spanish moss-draped oaks, while cottages are set near the tidal river.  The park’s nature trail winds through forest and salt marsh, and hikers may see gopher tortoises, fiddler crabs, herons and other birds.  A nature center features fish, snakes, turtles and other animals native to coastal Georgia."

Swanee Campout - March 15-17, 2013

Join the Troop for canoeing and more at the Swanee Campout and Florida Gateway Pro Rodeo (event will be Sat night and is only about 30 minutes away (Columbia County Fairgrounds) from our camp site). Departure is at 6:30pm behind the Dry Cleaners next to Publix on SR13. Be there no later than 6:15pm. Contact on the trip is Bob Bridges: 904-327-1502.

Are You Tougher Than a Boy Scout? airs Mondays at 8P e/p starting March 4 on the National Geographic Channel. In this exciting and moving competition, 6 elite Scouts will compete against adult men in a variety of scout challenges.
